Mystic Currents (Printed Edition)

The seahorse a symbol of tranquility and gentle strength takes center stage in a swirling sea of batik fabrics, each piece whispering of coral gardens, moonlit tides, and hidden reefs.

This quilt was born from a personal longing for peace during a hectic season. Each strip of fabric was carefully chosen from my scrap stash: a bit from a friend’s old quilt, a snippet from my first dyeing experiment, a lucky piece I’d saved for years. It became a celebration of textures and memories, sewn together in a wave-like applique technique. The quilting pattern mimics ocean currents — flowing, spiraling, cradling the sea creature like a lullaby.
